HOW TO REACH PARIS FROM THE AIRPORTS FROM PARIS CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT (ROISSY) The easiest option is the fast suburban train (RER) line B which costs less than 10 euros and goes downtown in 30min you can then transfer to the Metro System with the same ticket Alternatively, Air France Coaches take you to several locations in Paris Also: TAXIS now operate on a fixed fare basis 50/55 euros for North/South Bank (ask whether they take credit cards before boarding) FROM PARIS ORLY AIRPORT Again a fast suburban train in about 20min + an automatic shuttle beforehand (ORLYVAL) You can transfer to Paris Metro System with the same ticket Alternatively, Air France Coaches Taxis operate on a fixed fare basis 30/35 euros for South/North Bank (ask whether they take credit cards before boarding) HOW TO REACH THE CONFERENCE VENUE AND ORSAY MUSEUM (DINNER) When you get out of the Metro Line 3 stop "Porte de Champerret" look for the signs "Espace Champerret" which is very close to the Conference venue. we recommend taking exit 1 (sortie 1) and then walk straight on LOCAL ACCESS BY METRO CAREFUL WHEN GETTING OUT OF THE METRO get out of the metro station by the exit at the front of the train -- exit 1 you will arrive on a little square with many bus stops -- from exit 1 you may walk straight onto Avenue de Villiers (you will then pass a McDonald's across the road to your left) keep walking to the overpass/bridge over the ring road (Périphérique) TO GO TO THE DINNER AT ORSAY MUSEUM Take Métro line 3 Direction Galieni Change at Saint-Lazare for line 12 direction Marie d'Issy Stop at Solferino and follow the signs for Musée d'Orsay (via Rue de Bellechasse) ACCESS TO ORSAY MUSEUM (careful: no suitcases are allowed in) The Entrance is on the West of the Museum, entrance C you will need your Museum tickets and you will see attendants with SNDE signs They will point you to our dedicated cloakrooms You can visit the museum and then go upstairs to the restaurant for drinks/reception at 8:00PM |
